What Video Game Did I Play Yesterday?
Card Storm Idle (XBox Series S)
February 22nd, 2026
I'm kind of down, tired, and overwhelmed tonight, but not feeling so bad that I'll skip posting! It will be a lazy post, though. I'll just try to catch up tomorrow.
I played a lot of games yesterday, finishing two Steam freebie hidden object games. Hidden Corgi Mansion had some actual challenge to it, but some of that was down to the game not including a zoom in and out feature. It was cool that it has multiple rooms, though, and two different things to find. It was a bit above the typical hidden cat game!
100 Funny Cats, on the other hand, was another low effort cat finder. The cat art was really cute, with big round cats hangin' out at the circus, but the game just didn't match up to its own art.
In what will be the biggest future problem for this blog, I started Disney Speedstorm, too. I'm not sure what to make of this yet. It seems to have some nasty gatcha leanings, which is a danger in free games, but the racing itself is really fun. I don't know how the balance will shake out, so I don't know if I'll play it for long.
I sat around and ran Card Storm Idle while Disney Speedstorm downloaded, which I hadn't touched for a while. I figured out that clicks are way more effective than actual damage per second idling is in this game, so I might make some headway in this when I'm bored.
I tried Sky Survivors on PS4, too, which seems to be a totally fine Survivors-like. I like that it's platform based with a lot of vertical momentum, but I also unlocked every character in one fairly short sitting. I'm not sure how much content there is.
I have done my post, so now I can completely let my brain melt.

For whatever reason, I really did not want to post today and ended up procrastinating a lot. It's snowy and I just want to be asleep. Yesterday was low intensity for games, though. I tried Card Storm Idle, a free clicker game for XBox, and kind of liked it. It's irritating that it doesn't have any AFK functionality, meaning the numbers only go up while the game is actively running. On the other hand, though, the benefits of prestiging and going back to the start are generous enough that it's not bothersome to have to prestige early and often. This is shovelware for sure, but I'm still mostly in favor of it. It was good background noise for craft time.
I tried Dragon Pinball on XBox, too, and truly have no thoughts on it at the moment.
Before bed, I played My Nintendo Picross: Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess for a while, too. I'm very pro-3DS at the moment, and this was a decent excuse to use one.
