What Video Game Did I Play Yesterday?
Disney Tsum Tsum (Android)
October 2nd, 2023
Today was ok, but I crashed extremely hard after work and a trip out to Dollar General. I'm excited to show off the model kit I finished yesterday, though! Most of this was actually finished on Saturday- I just snapped her foot together on Sunday morning- but I built a really nifty Figurise Standard of Miorine from Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury. I'd had this for a while and was worried I'd screw up and ruin her, but even with a bit of my own amaturish detailing, I think she came out well! I'll have to build Suletta to match sooner rather than later.
I played Disney Tsum Tsum a bit yesterday, too, clearing the first mission bingo card.
There was a bit more that I wanted to play, but my PS3 and I had a strong disagreement. Hopefully, I'll stay awake long enough to reconcile with it tonight.
October 1st, 2023
I've procrastinated massively with doing today's post. I've worked on model kits, read manga, gone to Chili's, and outlined a meal plan that'll take me through to next weekend. I've also procrastinated at picking a game to focus on playing this month, other than carrying Super Mario Odyssey forward. Last month was decent, though. I made ok progress in some games, and actually finished A Short Hike, so I feel pretty good about this month, too.
Yesterday, though, I just played 50+ games of Disney Tsum Tsum on a family member's couch. I couldn't pull any decent new characters for the month in the gatcha, even though I had plenty of pulls, so I couldn't play the month's ending event effectively. I did finish up the beginners' coloring card missions, though, and started in on Mission Bingo. It was fine, but I got three more gatcha pulls and still couldn't get any more of the monthly characters. Oh, well!

I'm so sleepy today, but good! I started training for my new position today, but since the schedule for training is 2+ hours earlier than my normal schedule, I'm zoned out tonight. That is okay, though! Even if I'm dozing off before 8pm tonight, things will be good overall.
Last night, I played Super Mario Odyssey for a few minutes when I should have been sleeping, picking up a few basic moons in the water world. Being able to play as a Cheep Cheep takes away some of the stress I normally feel in Mario water levels, which is cool. Plus, the colors are so peaceful and lovely!
I played Disney Tsum Tsum quite a lot, too, but hit a wall in the monthly event's end game. I would have to get a 3 million-plus high score with a tsum wearing a collar to move forward, which is definitely possible! It would take more level grinding than I'm willing to do, though, so I'm letting it go. I feel more at peace now having abandoned this goal.
I'm way more interested in sleeping than gaming right now, but'll play something for a few minutes to wind down later.
September 24th, 2023
Being awake does not feel good today, so this will be a short-ish post. I mostly just tried to grind my way through the extra event missions in Disney Tsum Tsum yesterday. A lot of them felt pretty grindy, so it got a little tedious in spots. I'm so close to the end, though, with only one more character set to go! I want that extra skill ticket.
September 23rd, 2023
I've been doing a lot of bill-paying and dishwashing style crud this morning, but want to get this done for the day before I eat lunch. It's goal setting!
Yesterday, though, I was more in "brick mode" than "game mode," so I ran through a few AliExpress level definitely-not-lego-sets I had around. The first one I did was this Chocobo (I think it was labelled Chicken Rider or something like that) that's honestly a bit troubled. The pose I photographed it in is about the only one where it can stand, because it has tiny chicken legs and a big, heavy, plastic brick body. I like the design, but it's so unsturdy! It's kind of what I get for picking up a blatant bootleg, though, so I'm more amused than mad.
The other two I did, later in the day, had stronger legal standing and better designs, too. The flower shop is one that I'd had sitting around for ages, and I was pretty impressed by it. From the back, there's even a tiny cash register inside, and it was neat to affix the decals to the facade blocks. I was dead tired, so I opened the unlabeled bag for the succulent behind it thinking it would be another of the little shops I have stashed. It was not, but it's neat anyway.
Gaming-wise, I did play some Disney Tsum Tsum yesterday, and probably will again today.
I have a big bootleg not-Lego set I want to try, and am considering giving it its own page, since I think it'll take a good while to finish. I will decide when I get into it.
September 18th, 2023
Nothing is wrong this morning, but I feel super nervous. This'll probably be a pretty quick post because of that.
I finally finished the basic half of this month's event in Disney Tsum Tsum, but might play through the extra levels, too. I was able to get a new skill level on my Luke Skywalker and R2D2 tsums and feel like I should flex their ungodly power. It's fun to have the piece of a game that breaks it.
It was nice enough to go out and play Pikmin Bloom, too, but I had a small asthma attack and didn't do the full community day. I might try to score some of the month's ice cream Pikmin in the city skywalk during my office days this week.
September 16th, 2023
My computer didn't want to turn on today, so I'm making this post later than I'd wanted. Windows updates are magic.
I feel somewhat down today, but finished A Short Hike last night, which was very charming and more emotional than I'd expected it to be. I know there's stuff left to do on the island, so I've left it on my XBox for now and might do another run sometime.
I played Disney Tsum Tsum for a few minutes, too. Hopefully, I can finish the base set of levels for this month's event today. I'm getting a little tired of playing it.
September 15th, 2023
I'm sorry this hasn't been a very scintillating blog lately! I've been trying to bounce back from my sinus infection from Monday and slammed at work, so I'm playing shallow puzzle games and hitting bed early. I did get into Disney Tsum Tsum last night, though, and kept chipping away at the current event. I wanted one of the Titanic tsums they tossed in yesterday, but I got this month's "special" Tinkerbell when I earned a gacha pull. She's cute, though, it's hard to be salty. I just need to know if this game has the nerve to toss in an animation that implies all your on-screen characters died in 1912.
September 14th, 2023
I didn't post this morning because I had to work early, and after finishing a full day and then some am kind of tired. I tried to play Disney Tsum Tsum last night, but kept getting error codes and couldn't finish a game. After all that, I gave up and went to bed.
September 12th, 2023
Since I wasn't feeling well yesterday, I just played Disney Tsum Tsum, but I played it a lot. One of the medicines I got, for breathing help, was a tiny steroid, so after dinner, I matched the little disney characters with such hardcore intensity that I couldn't ungrip my hand from my phone afterwards. It was a weird experience! I also ended up playing it right before bed, since I had an asthma attack and had to take my inhaler. Since that makes me too hyper to sleep, I played another several rounds until I could relax enough to go to bed. All this playtime meant that I only have one card left on the first part of this month's event!
September 11th, 2023
Today I was sick enough that I overslept, left work early after giving it my best shot, and did a telehealth appointment. I'm posting now after picking up prescriptions and taking a nap, feeling somewhat better.
Yesterday did end up being a pretty decent day games-wise. I played A Short Hike most, doing a lot of the little sidequests around the island. I spent so much time playing stickball and looking for shells, all of which was very pleasant! It looks like I'll finish a run of this the next time I play, but I know I'm missing stuff, too. It'll probably stay on my XBox for a bit.
Also on my XBox, I kept chipping away at that 280 levels of endless mode achievement in Bejeweled 2, drinking some hot yuzu ginger as I played before an early bedtime. This, too, was peaceful gaming.
I worked on the month's event in Disney Tsum Tsum, too, mostly because I was stalling out for a few minutes on making lunch.
Today is not going to be a big games day, because I mostly just want to sleep. That is okay sometimes, though.
September 8th, 2023
I am still happy about my good work stuff yesterday, but am also having my worst ladies' health month in over a year. It's a rude balance. I didn't even get through my reading goals for last night (lately, I try to read at least two chapters of genre fiction, one chapter of non-fiction or classic lit, and one manga/comic book back to front), which is usually something I look forward to at the end of a day! My guts are killin' me, though, so my power is severely diminished.
Because of that, I just played four games of Disney Tsum Tsum last night- not even a full run of energy!- and went to bed. I'm not feeling any better today, so tomorrow's post might end up quite similar.
September 5th, 2023
Yesterday was also busy, and I wasn't feeling well, either. I did get started on this month's event in Disney Tsum Tsum, though, which I don't really enjoy. The collection missions at the end of each section are really tedious, even if the tea time theme is cute. It's such an easy time killer, though, that I'll probably keep playing at least a little more.
It's back to work today. Only four days until next weekend! I'm supposed to get a new pair of glasses today, though, so that's something.
August 28th, 2023
Today I have to deal with the fallout of Friday's problems, and feel sick to my stomach worried. I went to see the 4k restoration of Oldboy last night, which was quite a distraction, but unfortunately, did not last until today. My vibes are bad.
last night, I tried to play Dungeon Village 2 for a few minutes but bounced off it hard. I shut the PS4 off after 5 or so minutes.
I finished the second card in the Disney Tsum Tsum sticker book event, too.
August 27th, 2023
My energy is extremely low today, and even though I've been up for a while, I keep trying to procrastinate at doing this post. That's okay, though. My only plan for the day is to take a small trip for a movie quite a lot later, so I don't have to worry about much.
I got back into Idol Land PriPara yesterday and was pleasantly surprised that I could get some decent coords for my character without paying real money. The load times for everything were still atrocious, but a little lower than they had been on Friday. This is still more of a curiosity than anything for me.
I went back to the sticker book in Disney Tsum Tsum, too, and actually had a decent time playing. I want to clear the second card today. Rumor has it I've already been playing this when I should have been writing this post instead, but I'm not sure that can be substantiated easily.
I made another Pokemon model kit while I was talking to a friend last night, too. Lugia was today's choice, and even though I'm decently happy with the end result, I don't feel like the pieces snapped together as well as they should have with this kit. It was kind of irritating.
August 26th, 2023
Yesterday was somewhat worse than I predicted, but that's okay, it was payday. This morning, I've already been to Dollar Tree and paid my bills, so I'm now free and clear to be a bum for the next two days.
I didn't play games much yesterday, but because my focus was awful, this'll still be a decent post. I managed to get into Idol Land PriPara yesterday, a new mobile version of discontinued Japanese arcade game PriPara that has had a... troubled, I guess would be fair to say, launch. Right now, there's kind of a queue to get in, so I've been opening the app every once in a while to see if I can make it work. Yesterday, I did, and while it looks like the pay to pay mechanics might be way less brutal than I expected, the two load times it took to get into one stage exceeded 15 minutes. It ran ok once I got in, but I'd never really seen that in a mobile game before. I'm curious to see how long it takes this to get up and running nicely.
In other mobile games, I briefly toyed with the end of the month Sticker Book event in Disney Tsum Tsum. It's nothing special, but it was an okay distraction to kill a few minutes after work.
I also put a couple more levels into Endless Mode in Bejeweled 2, getting me to 21 of 280 levels cleared for the achievement. It's a good time waster, but a futile feeling goal.
August 18th, 2023
Last night, I just played Disney Tsum Tsum, clearing the standard stages of the current event. I don't know how hard I'll try on the bonus levels, but they're there if I need them.
Fridays can be really harsh sometimes, so I'm not excited to be awake, but hopefully today will be fine.
August 16th, 2023
Today, I feel mildly better than I did yesterday. I tried a game on Game Pass last night, Contrast, and it's ok so far. I got motion sickness after just a few minutes, even though a lot of the platforming is 2D, so I didn't play for long. I might keep playing further away from my TV, though. It seems easy, and I read it was short, so it would be a shame to give up.
I played a normal amount of Disney Tsum Tsum, too, and am getting close to clearing the initial part of the flower event.
August 15th, 2023
I still feel pretty down this morning, but in the meantime, I played about 30 rounds of Disney Tsum Tsum last night. Despite the screenshot, I did pretty well overall. Hopefully I can cheer up a little soon.
August 14th, 2023
I had some tech problems this morning, so instead, I'm posting after a bit of overtime and getting dinner in the oven. I am sleepy.
Yesterday, I started playing Yu-Gi-Oh: Duelist of the Roses, a PS2 game I stole from my old house because a British history Yu-Gi-Oh game struck me funny. It was funny, but the tutorial was mind-bogglingly long. I'll play the real game soon.
I played some Disney Tsum Tsum, too, because it's easy and I wanted to.
It is almost time for dinner, so I am going to go be defeated in front of a plate of chicken instead of in front of my computer. Farewell, everyone!
August 12th, 2023
My late work wasn't so bad at all last night, and I'd loaded my rice cooker early in the day to make dinner low maintenance. I was tired, though, and my ear ringing was still bothering me, so I didn't do much useful at all. Instead, I cashed in some hearts (the game's energy) I had stored up and played Disney Tsum Tsum for a while. I'm two-thirds of the way through this month's event now, so I think I'll keep going for a while today. I just want a low challenge day today, though, so achieving that will be my biggest goal.
August 7th, 2023
My nervousness is sky high this morning, for no real reason, but I am doing a short post now to get going and hopefully do my best today. Dungeon Village 2 was my most played game yesterday, since I had it running while I did some crafts, allowing me to enjoyably half-focus on each. I got my village up to for stars and started chipping away at five. It looks like getting that last star for my first village will be a little grindy, but that's how games go sometimes.
My "abandoned" game for yesterday was Super Mario Land 2: Six Golden Coins, which I played for one level and went to sleep. It's a fun game while I'm playing, but I'm having trouble getting into it.
I also played a little more Disney Tsum Tsum, chipping away at the monthly event. I got one of the month's special characters in the gacha, and even though she's not great, skill-wise, she'll be helpful to get character bonuses if I get stuck in the event.
August 6th, 2023
This is a pretty big post today, but I don't know that anything in it is super interesting. Somewhat counterintuitively, though, I want to start today's post by showing off a really neat Pokemon model kit I built last night! The instructions were kind of strange, saving the stickers for the end. Since I'd been forewarned about that in an Amazon review, though, it ended up not being so much of a hassle for me. I really like how this Ho-Oh came out, though, and it was a nice, quick build! It won't be the last Pokemon model to show up here by a longshot.
I'm not sure where to start with the games I played yesterday, so I guess I'll take the easy route and go in chronological order. I picked up Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 on PS4 yesterday, because screw my game clearing goals, it was inexpensive and I'd wanted it for quite a while. (Those are still in play for full priced games, for now.) I only intended to play for a few minutes, but I did end up sitting on the floor with it for a decent amount of time. It was super easy to get back into, even if this wasn't ever a series I was very good at, and I felt fancy using a revert in Pro Skater 1 levels. The manual didn't feel as out of place, even though I know that was introduced in 2. Maybe it was folded in for the XBox version of 2 with a bunch of the first game's levels thrown in? I'm not sure, but it doesn't matter much. This got off to a fun start.
After that, I played Disney Tsum Tsum for a while, since my game co-conspirator messaged me about a way she was getting wild amounts of coins per round. I gave it a shot, and couldn't hit the same heights she sent screenshots of, but am also flat out not as good at the game. For me, though, I was still racking up some pretty wild payouts, so it was satisfying. She also let me know that this month's event is short and low effort, so I think I'll see if I can clear it, dull theming or not. I cleared the easy stage last night.
Finally, for my "long lost game" of the night, I played a bit of Wario's Woods at 2:00 AM. I can't instantly jump in and out of Wario's Woods like I can a lot of other puzzle games. The mechanics are fun once I get going, but they're not very intuitive, and are maybe a little complicated, too. That late at night, I wasn't putting a ton of effort into it, but I might pick it back up when I'm more awake soon.
August 5th, 2023
I've already been to the local mall today, to pick up an online order from Hot Topic like the classy adult that I am, so I feel like today's post is much later than it really is. For a weekend, though, 11 am is actually fairly normal for me.
Last night, I had really awful post-work-week-burnout, so I turned on my PS3 to play a quick level of Sonic Adventure. I wouldn't say that I played for ages, really, maybe just an hour, but it had been so long since I'd played that I'd forgotten how pretty, weird, and easy to get caught up in this game is. I played from the casino stage to the first sky chase in the Tails section last night, with a lot of just wandering around between things. Since I was tired, I really appreciated that the Omega boss in the water hadn't been tweaked for Tails's abilities at all, meaning I could just kind of float above all the attacks and descend when it was my turn to hit. It was a nice, low stress time.
More pathetically, I also played Disney Tsum Tsum for a while because I wanted to play a game, but was too tired to get out of my chair and turn a console on.
I kind of doubt I'll play anything interesting today, even on the "games I abandoned for a few months" front that Sonic Adventure slotted into today. I'm still kind of sleepy and disinterested, and I mostly just want to eat pasta and read manga. I'm sure I'll feel better later, though, and I'll play something for sure.
August 4th, 2023
I went on a walk last night and my allergies still haven't recovered! It'll be a fun work day for sure.
For this blog, though, I set up my PS2 and played Activision Anthology a little last night, having not touched it since I replaced my PS2. I sat down to play Freeway for a bit with the goal of making the chicken cross the road 20 times. When I was a little kid, it had seemed so difficult! I got it right away, forcing the dark realization that at the age of 4, I was actually pretty bad at video games.
I took a very brief crack at the monthly event in Disney Tsum Tsum, too, but the "give flowers to princesses" theme is kind of boring. I played three rounds and went to sleep.
July 20th, 2023
Today is a short post because I didn't want to get up and there was some diverting texting drama when I did. Last night, I played Disney Tsum Tsum a lot when I failed to relax enough to go to sleep. The title screen is maybe a bad screenshot of the day, but I wanted it for myself as a color guide, to use with a Tsum Tsum crochet book.
I built another model last night, too, the Arsene Gundam X from the SD World Heroes series. It's very cute, maybe one of my favorites so far! I got it in the mail and built it the same day.
July 13th, 2023
Today I got out of bed wanting to feel more positive, but then instantly got a text that my apartment building was shutting off my water for the day. I went over to Starbucks and used my "fancy treats" balance with them to get a much more extravagant than normal morning coffee, though, and am hoping I can brute force things into balancing out a bit.
Last night, I played Vampire Survivors for a while again, and am still not sure if I like it or not. The constant unlocks and levelling are nice, but I feel like the game itself is maybe mildly tedious. That's fine for playing super late at night, and the pixel art is so nifty, but I don't know if I share a lot of the enthusiasm about it.
I kept chipping away at the event in Disney Tsum Tsum for a while, too, truly kicking some butt last night. I'm trying to complete a character set for the lower gacha while I'm earning a lot of coins, as a point boost, but even with even odds, being down to the last two characters is slightly frustrating. It'll pay off for my scores in the long run, though, so I don't mind that much.
July 10th, 2023
I'm continuing to not kick butt right now, but I played some mobile games yesterday. Disney Tsum Tsum was my main game, since I played quite a lot in a Wal-Mart auto waiting room. Right now, I've got the first part of the 9th Anniversary Event cleared, and'll probably keep playing into the second chunk.
Before bed, I played Slash and Girl a little, too. I was super tired, so I went to bed really early by my standards, but still felt too antsy to actually sleep. This was a little boring, but it helped me clear my brain out a bit.
July 6th, 2023
I'm really sleepy this morning, but doing my best to be cheery. Last night, I wanted to play something new when I was pretty tired, so I tried Vampire Survivors on Game Pass. I love levelling up, so I played this a bit longer than I meant to and'll probably try again soon.
I did ten quick rounds of Disney Tsum Tsum, too, making sure to keep my login bonuses going while continuing to chip away at the current in-game event.
July 5th, 2023
Today's post will be kind of short because I don't have all that much to say. I tried playing Kid Icarus a bit last night, like I threatened to yesterday, and enjoyed it more than I expected. I beat the first stage for the first time, giving me the impression that I'm better at games than I was when I first tried it.
I kept chipping away at the super slow 9th Anniversary Event in Disney Tsum Tsum, too, getting enough points for a skill ticket. I instantly tossed it on my Luke Skywalker and R2-D2 pair tsum, making an already game breaking pair even better.
Today is my first day back to work after vacation, but even if it goes spectacularly badly for some reason, I'll still play PowerWash Simulator or something tonight.
July 4th, 2023
Today's post is kind of late because I overslept and woke up with an awful allergy attack! I'm feeling somewhat better now, since I sat and drank fancy coffee and played Disney Tsum Tsum until my allergy medicine kicked in.
Speaking of Disney Tsum Tsum, yesterday was an unlimted play day, to get the 9th anniversary event proper started. I got a message from another player about it and, since I was feeling somewhat worried about my productivity, pushed it off a bit to do other stuff. She mentioned that the event was "slow moving," though, when talking about taking advantage of the free play day, so I decided to check it out and see if I could get a head start. "Slow moving" was a really polite understatement! The prizes are decent, but the point totals for each challenge cleared are miserably low, so it's a bit of a slog. I only played for an hour or so because the challenges themselves were so easy I got a bit bored. With play limits intact, though, I don't think this'll be so bad. I sometimes think that energy limits are a big help in masking repetitive gameplay on some mobile titles.
Before bed, I played some PowerWash Simulator, too. I'd been trying to save it for when I felt stressed out at night, but truthfully, I enjoy this game when I'm feeling okay, too. I got about another 15% of the playground cleaned and finished up the surprisingly impressive Stegoslide.
Yesterday, though, I was trying to accomplish non-game things, whether they were important or not, and I finished off a dishcloth (not pictured here) and tow model kits! First, I cleared the SD version of the MSN-O4 Sazabi and learned a lot about how not to paint a Gundam. I really messed up the knees! I was overall ok with it, but wish I'd been a little smarter about dodging a couple of the stickers.
I also finished a kit I'd had on my shelf for a couple years, of the girl version of the Master from Fate/Grand Order. I used to play that for periods of a few weeks at a time, then abandon it for months, then pick it back up again. Its been a couple years since my last play, but I'm still pretty happy with this model.
Today, I want to do some more crafty stuff and maybe get angry at Kid Icarus, too, after a friend's casual mention of it. I'll have to decide if I want to torture myself like that later.
July 3rd, 2023
I didn't do very well with games last night because I felt inexplicably nervous and overwhelmed. This morning, I still feel pretty bad, so I might try to finish some craft projects to try and lessen my "things to do" list later. Last night, though, I essentially froze up for a while because I hadn't kept up well with my Japanese study for a few days, and also because there were too many choices when it came to watching some Gundam. It was super normal.
After I had that somewhat solved, though, I ended up turning on my Wii to play Tron Evolution Battle Grids for a few minutes. It was kind of relaxing to play something where I moved around a bit, even though I'm still thrown by the thought of a Tron minigame collection where lightcycle battles are the worst minigame on offer. I chipped away a bit at story mode, though, and had a decent time. I wish story mode would have let me progress through certain games in a chunk, to binge play Hyper Ball, but I'm sure I'm unlocking stuff on the back end. This isn't a bad game to have in my rotation.
Much earlier in the day, I also cleared the daily raffle challenges in Disney Tsum Tsum. It was fun, but not super noteworthy.
July 2nd, 2023
My biggest gaming thing yesterday was officially giving up on Sonic Blast I got stuck on a one-way pipes and currents "puzzle" in the first water level, watched a Youtube video about how to get through it, tried to replicate it, and then decided I didn't really need any of that in my life. Fellow Neocities user Pastel Shoal commented that Sonic Chaos and Triple Trouble are better, so I will probably give one of those a shot in a few days. If I don't, though, they're not going anywhere.
Later on, I did play quite a lot of Soul Calibur 6, but quit when, upon feeling that it was just super difficult to face the same direction as my opponent, I looked at the clock and realized it was after 2:00 am. Even with the caveat that I'm splitting my Libra of Soul playthrough over a few different characters, I feel like I'm barely scratching the surface of the mode. It's neat.
It was a decent mobile game, too. I wasn't really going to post about Pikmin Bloom today, but was very satisfied to have gotten all of the space suit Pikmin for the Pikmin 4 launch event. They're very charming!
I also decided to at least half heartedly play the 9th Anniversary event in Disney Tsum Tsum. I got enough coins for a gacha pull and unlocked Star Mickey, one of the special characters for the month, right away. He's kind of worthless, though, so I don't know how worthwhile he'll be even for added event points. Right now, there's a raffle event, where you clear challenges to get tickets for a drawing, running. In a few days, the real event will start, though, and I'll see if I want to deal with Star Mickey or not then.
June 12th, 2023
I've only got 12 work days left before I get to take a small break. Doing a countdown like this is maybe a little childish, but it's helpful, too.
My focus was bad yesterday, so I didn't play anything so well. I finished Aquarium World in Sonic Colors Ultimate, though in my first play session, I got frustrated with the boss and swore never to play it again. A few hours later, I was feeling somewhat calmer and took it out pretty quickly from there.
I'd been looking forward to actually getting into playing Dragon Quest X Offline, but spoke to who I was supposed to and got locked in another cutscene. I read through a lot of it, but since I didn't feel very well, I got overwhelmed and quit for the day. Maybe I'll try to tackle it again tonight, if today ends up being doable.
I did play a bit of Disney Tsum Tsum again, too, but without getting any great scores or accomplishing anything. It's a good weekend game in that regard.
June 11th, 2023
It took me a while to build up to posting here today, but I've made it! I've done some other writing, cleaning, and crafts so far today, but for some reason, posting here seemed more daunting than those activities, but somehow less daunting than tossing together some quick pickled bean sprouts for a work lunch side dish. My brain is a mystery even to itself.
Yesterday I did play a lot of games, with Eastern Exorcist being what I spent the most time with. The short quests and constant ability to level up keep me playing for way longer sessions than I intend, so I deliberately didn't play this as much as I wanted after work last week. My fascination with it is not conducive to getting to bed on time. As far as things go, though, I'm getting close to the end of my first character playthough. Even though there's only two characters, I'm curious to see how different the story is for each.
Sticking with the XBox, I got the garden in PowerWash Simulator 100% clean and decided to take care of the playground next. Bright colors and shiny surfaces make it very satisfying.
In Dragon Quest X Offline, I also finished the cutscene I was trapped in and am ready to tackle some real gameplay! I'm mildly excited to finally get into the meat of the game, even though that won't cut back on the study side of it too much.
Last and also kind of least, I played Disney Tsum Tsum for a bit, too. I'm not pursuing anything in particular from the gacha or trying to finish the event for the month, so I was just kind of using it to kill time. It was satisfying in that regard.
I don't feel like my writing is very coherent today, so I'm going to go dump some citrus quick pickling liquid on some veggies and stay awake. It's perfect for a Sunday.
June 3rd, 2023
I've been having a challenge morning today! My goals so far have been to go to Dollar General, wash some dishes, take out the trash, and change out my scented wax melt. (Today, my apartment's scent is peach vanilla.) I got all of this done, but put myself back to bed several times doing so, and now feel the call of not-sitting-upright-any-longer as I sit and manage my page.
Last night, I was not doing much better. I sat down to play Sonic, or something on my XBox, but after everything this week, my muscles were too sore and I felt too tired to even sit up, so I went to bed really early, played about ten minutes of Disney Tsum Tsum, and went to sleep.
Hopefully, I'll get more of a will to be awake as today goes on.
May 29th, 2023
Today is my one-year on Neocities post, but it doesn't feel very special. I'm more surprised I haven't failed or given up at this than anything. I played a lot of games yesterday, though, so at least it won't be a tiny post.
My biggest goal for the day was to continue plugging away at Dragon Quest X Offline. I did okay at it, playing for about 90 minutes and making it through a decent chunk of character text. I feel like I understand what's going on and am making good progress, even though I'm at ten-plus hours for the prologue alone. That is okay, though! Playing a game in Japanese is difficult, and it's okay if I am not going very quickly at it.
I started a couple of new games while I was just messing around with stuff, too, the first of which was Sonic Colors Ultimate. I don't really have many thought on this so far. It's basically fun to play and there are a few too many cutscenes, but it doesn't seem all that interesting so far. That's probably kind of a harsh thing to say, since I did enjoy what I got through and'll definitely keep playing. It felt a bit "just kind of there," though, which is fine.
I tried Lawn Mowing Simulator on Game Pass, too, which I think'll fit well as a game that helps me go to sleep. I do kind of hate that I can't change the color of the business logo, or at least that I couldn't figure out how to do it. It's nice and mindless, though, and'll help take away the sting of not being able to play Calm Colors when I get stuck on a text wall in Dragon Quest and have to leave my Switch in standby.
Last, and perhaps also least, I've been doing daily logins on Disney Tsum Tsum to get the free gacha tickets and nabbed the month's special tsum, Luke Skywalker with a tiny lil' R2D2, with yesterday's. I played a few rounds to try the character out and, since it has double skills and takes up two tsums on the playfield, it levels up at double speed and cranks up the number of coins you can score per game. It is fantastically game breaking, and I'm looking forward to destroying some score records when I'm more in the mood to play again.
That's it for today, but here's to another year on Neocities! It's really fun to have a website here, and such a nice, helpful community! I'm of course looking forward to working on this site, but also to seeing all of the beautiful sites that more ambitious coders are making, too. Let's have another good year!
May 1st, 2023
I'm kicking May off with a pretty inconsequential post. I finished the scratch card event in Disney Tsum Tsum yesterday, which gave me a fleeting sense of satisfaction.
I also picked Sonic at the Olympic Games back up after going to a late movie, and got to enjoy my favorite Olympic sport themed mini-game, lockpicking. As I reflected on the game's premise, the thought came into my head that maybe Sonic and his friends could partake in the 2020 Olympics proper because they are all immune to COVID, leaving the talking animals to do sports for the amusement of the humans trapped in isolation. It's altogether possible that nothing here is that deep.
April 30th, 2023
Today is the last day of April, and as I drink my cinnamon dolce latte and somewhat watch Morbius, I feel like, at least in game terms, I did well for the month. I cleared a few shorter games- Gokuto Jihen, Harvest Festival, The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog, and today, can add Feeding Frenzy to that list- even if I didn't make much progress in any of the longer games I have going.
For May, I might keep going on the same path. I'd at least like to finish off Vengeful Heart in the next few days, and there's a few other short games I'm considering. I'd also like to clear at least one of the many Sonic games I've gathered, which might get its own page at some point. (I need to add people's buttons somewhere on the site, too! Maybe I'll also make website progress next month.) I had fun with the games I played last month, though, and am looking forward to more.
As far as yesterday's gaming goes, like I said, I did finish the basic game for Feeding Frenzy. The story mode style map is fairly easy, but enjoyable, and had a really good sense of progression. Even if it was a trick of perspective and reused sprites, rather than changing the base gameplay, I still felt very powerful mowing through sharks in the last level. I'll probably come back and try Time Attack mode a little more than I did last night, but think I might try to tackle Feeding Frenzy 2 first. It's exactly what Game Pass was meant for.
Most of my game time yesterday, though, was spent on trying to clear an entire event in one day in Disney Tsum Tsum. They're currently running a scratch card event where you clear missions to get scratches, and it's more of a grind than a challenge. This is somewhat against my best interest, as I played so much yesterday I was seeing the Tsum Tsums behind my eyelids when I went to take a bath. My play sessions are pretty short, though, so it's hard to be too frustrated with myself.
I'm off to enjoy the rest of my day, hopefully with better movies than Morbius ahead. I hope all of you have pleasant Sundays (or whatever day it is as you read this) ahead, too!
April 19th, 2023
I was able to work yesterday, but got a purposefully placed late task, due to bad luck of the draw, and totally burned out. I'm a little worried about today, but that is okay.
Last night, my gaming was a total bust. I played two rounds of Disney Tsum Tsum and went to bed.
This morning, though, I opened the bag of gingerbread coffee that I was saving for a rainy day and am hoping things will go better. I hope okay days are ahead for all of you, too.
April 17th, 2023
I'm still pretty wobbly this morning, but went to the doctor yesterday for help. It turns out I had a nasty sinus infection and bronchitis, so right now, I'm forcing myself to eat a big breakfast in order to take my medicine without a stomachache. I already do feel somewhat better, but the somewhat is operative. Today's post will still be fairly short.
On Nintendo Switch Online, I wanted to play Super Mario Land because I remembered liking the music as a kid, but that game isn't in their Game Boy library! Super Mario Land 2: Six Golden Coins is, though, so I played that for a bit. I'd never tried it before, and it was fun.
I worked on the current event in Disney Tsum Tsum a bit more than I should have because it requires zero power from me.
I also turned on Pac-Man Museum+ to decorate my arcade and ended up playing Pac'N'Roll Remix, which ruled. Please expect more on this game in future posts.
April 14th, 2023
I meant to read quite a lot more of Vengeful Heart again last night, but was tired enough that I somehow convinced myself my air conditioner was broken. It absolutely is not. After I took some more cold medicine, though, I got through another chapter. I can't decide if, with the named and illustrated supporting cast, I like the in-character clarity or dislike the lack of subtlety the game takes in contrasting different methods of resistance. It's a pretty engaging story regardless, but that stuck out to me last night.
I also played some Disney Tsum Tsum, but only three or four rounds throughout the day.
It's almost the weekend! With any luck, in nine hours, I'll be free and clear of work for two whole days!
April 11th, 2023
Today, my computer is doing better, but I'm still a bit wrecked by sleepiness. I tried to go to bed way earlier than normal last night, but it didn't help a lot. I'll wear a mask at work in case I'm coming down with something, since my head is really stuffed up, and warn my friends that I may be a plague rat.
Because my primary interest last night was sleeping, I just played a few games of Disney Tsum Tsum, which was fun. It's nice to have a nothing game for when I just need to relax. Still, I want to play a bit of something better tonight.
April 3rd, 2023
Yesterday ended up being pretty nice! At the end of the day, I picked up Art of Fighting 3: The Path of the Warrior on XBox as a birthday gift to myself, but I was so sleepy that I could only play for a few minutes. The sprite work and animation in this game are so interesting, though, that I don't mind being awful at it. I missed having this game, and I'm going to play more today for sure.
I also played Disney Tsum Tsum, which was as low intensity mobile game-y as ever. I was still working on the coloring page missions, but by the time I went to bed, the event for the month had started.
I'm so glad I have today off, and I have Friday scheduled off, too! A three day week will be good for me.
April 2nd, 2023
Today is my birthday, which is really exciting, right? As far as games go, it's made all of Amy's "birthday girl" stuff in The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog very funny to me, though I haven't beaten the game quite yet. It's cute and fun, even though the "action" bits drive me a bit loopy, so I don't mind milking it for all it's worth.
I made some small, but decent headway in Dragon Quest X Offline last night, too. The mission I got involves going into the center of the village and talking to more NPCs, so I was slightly disheartened by that. I can do it, though!
I also played more Disney Tsum Tsum than I should have, chipping away at the coloring page missions. This month's missions are for the Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers movie from last year which, given that it was a straight to Disney+ movie from nearly a year ago, feels like a very odd choice. It doesn't matter, though, and could just be an international server event delay sort of thing.
I don't know how much stuff I'll play today. In a little bit here, I'm off to eat Mexican food and watch the Tetris movie in an Apple TV enabled household. It will be a nice, calm, and work free day, though, and that is what matters!
March 31st, 2023
My allergies were still bad last night, so I only played a few rounds of Disney Tsum Tsum yesterday. They were unremarkable.
My area is anticipating storms so bad that they're closing schools early today, and I have a pretty important appointment I have to make at work in the midst of all this today. My nervousness level is really awful! I'm hoping everything works out ok, but if it doesn't, I've got three bean salad and canned tuna for dinner.
March 27th, 2023
Yesterday, I just played the same stuff I had the day before. I hit a few more chunks of text in Dragon Quest X Offline, though I played late enough that when I found a character talking about how to use the map, I was lazy enough to go "well, I've got the gist of this, good enough."
It was midnight by the time I got to Yakuza 0, so I only played for twenty minutes or so, most of which were cutscenes. It was mercifully easy to find a save point when I needed one, though.
I played Disney Tsum Tsum way less than I expected to, too. I scored another cat, though! The all cat game board becomes closer to reality with every gacha pull.
March 26th, 2023
Thanks to the power of a two day weekend, yesterday felt really good! I got some crafts done, played some games, made a really delicious pot of chili, got some Girl Scout cookies, and went to a Vietnamese restaurant. Today won't be so eventful, though I already went to the Asian grocery store for a ramen and fancy soda run, but I think it will still be good.
In terms of games yesterday, Dragon Quest X Offline is probably what I was most excited about. I'm still crawling along at a snail's pace, but I successfully read the text that three NPCs threw at me, and, thanks to a friend's advice, made it to the first save point! In just 900 hours, I should have this game halfway cleared!
I also tried Yakuza 0 through Game Pass last night, which got off to a very fun start. I was having a lovely time just punching people, but then when I saw the skill tree, not to mention the karaoke, I was won over. I'll probably play a bit more of this today.
Last and admittedly least, I played a few minutes of Disney Tsum Tsum, figuring out that the Sticker Book event has some stages that are excellent for coin scumming. I was kind of disappointed when I managed to clear the level, putting my reign of terror at an end, but it certainly made the event more fun. I think I'm going to hit another one of the high coin stages today.
I'm done posting for now, and off to enjoy a classy lunch of tempura shrimp, potato chips, and applesauce. The shrimp smells really good from across the room.
March 25th, 2023
Things weren't so bad yesterday! Work was not very stressful, and I got out on time to do a grocery store run, which was great! I was so tired still, though, that I mostly just browsed the selection on Game Pass and considered playing games later.
I did play a few rounds of Disney Tsum Tsum, though, which was having an end of the month sticker book event that hadn't really clicked with me yet. I'll probably say a little more about this tomorrow, since I've already been playing today.
Today, I'm excited to have a two day weekend ahead, and'll likely do a better post tomorrow.
March 20th, 2023
I was so worried about work today that I had trouble enjoying yesterday. I can't get out of a pit in terms of tasks due, and we've had our workloads upped, so I feel sick and too stressed to get out of bed or take care of good cooking or decent outfits. Maybe today won't be as bad as I think, but since it's the start of a six day work week with a one day weekend, I got up to post here and try to get off to a good start with my own stuff.
I did start Dragon Quest X Offline yesterday, but the reading bits were even tougher and more extensive than I anticipated, so I haven't hit any gameplay yet. I kind of anticipate that I will by Wednesday or Thursday.
I played Disney Tsum Tsum for a while, too, and gatcha'd another cat. I hit kind of a dead end on the Kingdom Hearts event, requiring me to spend real money on either premium currency or rubies to move forward on time, so I'm not going to try very hard from here. Life is expensive enough.
March 17th, 2023
I got off work on time tonight and am currently making myself a heavily modified version of Taste of Home's One-Pot Coconut Curry Lentil Soup, one of my favorite cheap standby recipes. Tonight's version is half sized, with taco seasoning instead of curry powder and dried green bell peppers added. It's not innovative; I've made this version before. It is good, though, and it'll give me pre-made food for tomorrow, too.
My gaming story isn't as good as the food one, though. Last night, I sat at my desk half asleep and watched Gummy of ye ole Gumball Machine play Slay the Spire for a few minutes, and it looked really fun and interesting. There was no way in hell I had the brain power to pick up a new game like that last night, though, on Gamepass or not, so I half-heartedly played a few rounds of Disney Tsum Tsum and passed out. Sleep is important.
March 14th, 2023
Yesterday was a really nice day off, making it all the harder to drive to the office and go back to work again today. Oh, well.
I did make the correct choice for a good night's rest and play Mort the Chicken last night. The third level started bringing some mildly precise jumping into the mix, making the odd controls a bit frustrating. Turning on the active camera made it a little easier, though, so I got through without too much fuss.
I played Disney Tsum Tsum a few times, too, and hit my "I can't play this anymore" point, meaning it might be off the docket for a few days.
March 13th, 2023
I'm posting today from a pre-planned day off work, which is always nice. I'm going to the post office and the dollar store after this, so things are gonna get crazy.
Last night, I wanted to play a video game for a few minutes before bed, and thought maybe I'd play Mort the Chicken. Since I had the machine set up for it already, though, I ended up going with King of Fighters '99 instead. This was not my greatest idea. Playing an action game that I am not terrible at is not a quick and easy way to get to bed and well rested. However, it ruled, and I'm definitely going to make this choice again soon. I was playing Single All mode, where you try to beat every character in order, and would like to clear this mode someday. The NeoGeo Mini's 4 credit limit adds an interesting layer of challenge to it.
I also played Disney Tsum Tsum a little while I was at my mom's to watch the Oscars. I did pretty badly, but I got another cat. I think I'm up to four of them that could potentially pop up on screen at once.
March 12th, 2023
Daylight Savings Time is bad! I'm so tired today! I went to Target for groceries and basic life supplies this morning, and one of my big goals was to get the stuff to make a fancy salad. While I was in the self-checkout, though, I realized that I'd forgotten the lettuce, so I had to take everything out to my car and go back in for Target, round two. They were also out of marinated mozzarella balls, so I just bought a block of fresh mozzarella and am marinating it myself in a takeout container, but that's more a DIY-attempt than evidence of any exhaustion.
Anyway, I just played Disney Tsum Tsum yesterday, since I was short on sleep and enjoying many chain restaurants. I took a screenshot of the tsum of Scar I got from the premium box yesterday, but don't have any strong attachments to the character, nor will I be super likely to use this. It does bring me closer to my dream of an all-cats round of the game, though, so I'm good there.
I'm also super tired today, so I don't know that I'll play much today, either. Maybe, though!
March 11th, 2023
Today's post is kind of lame again, in the midst of movie time. I'm trying to do some last minute cramming for the Academy Awards tomorrow, like cramming for an exam in a class I'd only bothered with half-heartedly. I've seen quite a few nominees already, but feel like I could do better. I'm watching All That Breathes now, a documentary about bird rescue in New Delhi, and last night, did a double feature of Tar and Marcel the Shell With Shoes On, which was powerful whiplash. I think I can get at least two more watched today, too, and a couple before the awards tomorrow. It's maybe pointless, but fun!
That being said, my game progress yesterday kind of sucked. I played a whole one round of Disney Tsum Tsum, a big two minutes to document here.
I also went, like, halfway down a road in Pokemon Violet. I will say, the rain effect bothers me in this game- it gives everything a weird, shiny, rubbery texture. It doesn't affect my enjoyment of the game, I just think it makes my trainer's hat look weird.
I'm off to finish my movie and meet coworkers for lunch at Applebees. Life in the midwestern USA gets wild.
March 10th, 2023
I'm posting late and a little half-heartedly today. Work was a lot, I went grocery shopping, and now I've got my computer out as I watch Tar. It's not the best way to post to a website or watch a movie, but I'm not failing at either.
I played Disney Tsum Tsum more last night and got a bit further in the event that's going on. I wasn't playing very hard, so it was low stress and enjoyable.
I had a really brief play session of Pokemon Violet, too, just doing some small levelling up stuff.
It's the start of a three day weekend tonight, so I'm a bit excited to relax!
March 7th, 2023
Today's post will be somewhat short because I willfully stayed in bed longer than I should have before an office day at work. My main game yesterday was Disney Tsum Tsum, but after my first round of playing it for the night, I felt irritated and bored, like I couldn't stand to play it anymore. It's not permanent, but that's how mobile games are sometimes.
Because of that, I played Wario Ware Inc.: Mega Microgame$ before bed instead. I hit the Jimmy T. remix level, failed a few times, and went to sleep.
March 6th, 2023
Yesterday, I played a lot of games to distract myself from the fact that it was Sunday and I had to go back to work the next day.
I started, and spent the most time with an old copy of Drakengard a friend had sent me, which is really interesting so far. The on-the-ground fighting seems a little basic so far, but even from the start, I can tell that it'll get more in depth as I gather and level up more weapons. Plus, it was really impressive when I got the dragon and lit a hundred guys on fire at once. Narrative function aside, that's not something every game is offering.
While I was thinking about repetitve violence, I downloaded and tried Gungrave G.O.R.E. on Gamepass, too. It was very over the top and ridiculous, but about right for a game that I was playing after midnight. The style wasn't nearly as good as I remember being the PS2 game being, but that's how stuff goes sometimes. I played the first level and imagine I'll bounce back to this.
I also played Disney Tsum Tsum a lot again, as I had no interest in being a useful or productive member of society. I gacha'd one of the event characters, King Mickey, so my quest to... do Kingdom Hearts stuff, I guess, not actually being very familiar with the series, shall only intensify from here. I am powerful at matching things.
March 5th, 2023
Thank you for sticking with this blog when I am tired rubbish. I know the casual game stuff is not super exciting, but it keeps me from getting too stressed out when other stuff is a headache.
I'm knocking out a post today before I go grab some Taco Bell for lunch. There won't be much delay, because yesterday, I really played the hell out of Disney Tsum Tsum. I cleared the second, Mulan themed world in the Kingdom Hearts event and was able to gatcha for two "premium" characters. I legitimately don't remember who I got as I type this- maybe one of the Toy Story characters? I also don't extremely care, though, so it's fine. It was a fun time waster for a day when I had to fill out paperwork and run a lot of vinegar through an ailing coffee maker.
Before bed, I also made some more incremental progress in my sleep aid of a Switch game, Calm Colors.
March 3rd, 2023
I had trouble getting out of bed again today, so I'm doing a screenshot-free post to get something posted before I totally burn out during work. I did a couple of rounds of Disney Tsum Tsum before work yesterday, then played the prologue of Fire Emblem Warriors before bed. Hopefully, today will be better!
March 2nd, 2023
Yesterday was bad, both work and basic-life-wise, so I went to bed early, slept ten hours, and weighed the benefits of refusing to get out of bed today. I did get up, but yesterday, I only played Disney Tsum Tsum. The weird Kingdom Hearts event is underway, and I like the goals it spits out and the play style mixup the character battles offer. I'll have more about it later, but I'm at the part one boss level today. You can fight the bosses over multiple rounds, with clearing their giant tsum twice doing 300 HP worth of damage, so it's not even super stressful yet. (The screenshot below is of a midboss; I was too tired to get a screenshot of the end stage boss by the time I got there.)
March 1st, 2023
Today is a lunch break post because I went and bought a latte to bribe myself out of bed this morning. I played Dead or Alive: Dimensions on my 3DS a bit last night, which was fun. I'm still moving through the survival mode stages rather than doing story mode, but it's enjoyable to make my character kick the other characters. The 3D effects are pretty impressive here, too, even though I do shut them off for a decent amount of my playtime.
I played Disney Tsum Tsum more than I should have, too, with all of this Kingdom Hearts nonsense still at a slightly mysterious level.
February 28th, 2023
I was pretty wiped out last night, so my main game for the day was just more Disney Tsum Tsum. I did really fabulously at it, though, especially for having a beginner roster of tsums, so I was happy with this.
I also gave Stencil Art another go on my Switch, as a shut-my-brain-off-before-bed-game, and it still feels more like a super simple toy than a game to me. For what it is, it's fine, but without being able to pick the spray paint colors, the interactivity feels way too low, even for a game I'm looking to have put me to sleep.
February 27th, 2023
I'm posting late tonight because I had to log into work slightly early, as I eat a lovely meal of tandoori spiced lentils over rice. I am content.
Yesterday was a fairly okay day, once I cleared another fight with my internet provider. Thinking about games I hadn't played for a bit, I ended up really playing the hell out of Disney Tsum Tsum after watching the Screen Actors Guild Awards. I wanted to see why the app icon had changed to the Kingdom Hearts characters, but there was nothing special connected to that going on in the game itself. I got everything back up to the level where I can gain 1000+ coins per game, though, and that felt great.
Before bed, though, I wanted to play something I'd only given one chance before, so I played a Quick Race in Supersonic Tank Cats. It felt a little janky, but it was a free game, so I can't complain much. The colors were good and the tank cat was a tank cat.
February 1st, 2023
It's the start of a new month, and it feels like January went by so fast! It wasn't an awesome month, nor was it the worst. In terms of this blog's topic, though, I cleared 4 games in January, which feels pretty decent. Three of the four were tiny Cube Escape games, but that's okay. I feel good about it.
Last night, I didn't do anything to get posting for this month off to a good start. I felt really tired, and one of my neighbors was playing really loud music, so I played Hatsune Miku Project DIVA Mega Mix on easy mode until things quieted down enough to sleep. The bass from the other apartment got in the way a few times, but I wasn't playing hard enough to care. Every little bit counts for my goal of buying up all the unlocks!
I also played a single, forlorn game of Disney Tsum Tsum, slightly thrown by the server I was on starting February a day early. I thought it was a US server, but maybe it's a general international one.
January 30th, 2023
I was very correct that my focus would be poor yesterday, but that's okay. I did manage to beat the last dungeon and final boss in Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion, but I'd like to beat the secret boss and find all of the hats, so I'm not counting it as cleared quite yet. The final boss wasn't nearly as bad as the one I fought on Saturday, though, and having tried it, the secret boss doesn't seem to be, either. I'll get this done in the next couple days.
Before bed, I ran through five hearts on Disney Tsum Tsum, too, which was an okay way to shut my brain off.
January 27th, 2023
I got stuck on a troublesome late call last night, so couldn't get off work on time. Then, I went to the grocery store to pick up some food before it snows again and crashed hard. I played a little Disney Tsum Tsum and went to bed earlier than normal. The fruit shop missions are really fun and cute, though, so it was enjoyable game time.
Over today and tomorrow, I want to clear Salamander County Public Television.
January 26th, 2023
I got feeling a little better last night, and got a bit into the XBox Game Pass library. I ended up downloading and trying Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion, which I'd been interested in on Switch. Knowing how short it was, though, I couldn't justify the purpose. With Game Pass, I don't have any real reason to worry about that, so I went for it. I actually think I'm super close to the end after one play session, and expect I'll have it cleared in one or two more. Ripping up documents is super satisfying, and everything has a good, cute face, but the weapon switching is so clunky! I died in one boss because I was too clumsy swapping between the sword and the watering can, and I didn't feel like it was something I improved at as the game went. Still, I've made it pretty far and basically am enjoying the game. I expect I'll see Turnip Boy through to the end.
Right before bed, I played through a set of five hearts in Disney Tsum Tsum, too.
I still don't feel great today, but if I work two more days, I can rest for the weekend again.
January 24th, 2023
I still feel pretty rough today, but don't have arm and leg pain, and don't want to pay $130 for a doctor's note, so I'm posting before heading in for a (mask on) office day.
My games yesterday were the same as the day before, but slightly less. I played Salamander County Public Television for a few minutes and got through a few more minigames.
Then, I did a few fairly badly played Disney Tsum Tsum sessions.
I'm going to see if the Sudafed I've got in my cupboard helps with anything at all; wish me luck today!
January 23rd, 2023
I called out sick from work today, and am finally up to drinking tea and dragging my "toy" laptop back to my room to post. The little laptop I use for this blog is super low spec and has a navy blue plastic case, so I always feel like it's more toy-like than a better laptop might be. That's not a bad thing.
Anyway, I wasn't feeling great yesterday, either, so I didn't play much. I did another minigame in Salamander County Public Television, where you make baskets by launching the hoop at the basketball. It was kind of fun, and I felt powerful once I got the hang of it.
I played Disney Tsum Tsum quite a bit, too, finally having some good characters under my belt and getting some satisfyingly challenging missions. Now that I'm playing this again, I expect that a full server shutdown is imminent.

I had a decent day yesterday, but alas! I got peer pressured into playing Disney Tsum Tsum at a family gathering. It was really harsh! The conversation went something like:
"[Miela583's real name], you should download Tsum Tsum and I'll add you on Line and send hearts."
"Okay."
It was a really hard press against my defenses.
I used to play Tsum Tsum a lot when I lived in Japan, especially the now dead Marvel variant, but I felt like it got to be too much to keep up with. The US server seems a little less intense than Japan's was a few years ago, but starting the game over sucks! The beginner missions are, understandably, very basic, and all my characters feel super under-levelled, with crummy abilities. It got a little better over the course of the night, and the game is still fun, but I still kind of bristled at the game thinking I couldn't hit fever time even once. Does it think that I'm some sort of amatuer!?
Anyway, it was fun, and I'll probably play more today.
