What Video Game Did I Play Yesterday?
Hello Kitty & Sanrio Friends Racing (Lenovo Legion Go)
June 29th, 2025
I got myself too stressed out over some stuff that didn't matter to sleep well last night, so I'm really tired today. Yesterday, I was too fixated on doing little crafts to play a ton of games, though, which is lucky right now. I did a bit of grinding for arcanas and, by extension, trophies, in Vampire Survivors, which was fun.

After watching a couple of movies, I played some of the collection stages in Hello Kitty and Sanrio Friends Racing, a game which is demanding increased precision and track memorization to nab 100% of the cupcakes required for a perfect score. I kind of just want to make the Little Twin Stars zip around in a little car more than I want to 100% this game, so I'm not overly worried about it on any front. I'm sure I'll play it again in a month or so.

I totally wasted my weekend and am very salty with myself about it! I didn't feel good yesterday, so I should be nice to myself, but I haven't done any crafts, or read, or watched movies, or even played games that well. My to-do list for the week is a total lost cause, too. I'm going to do this post, do my next weekly to-do list, go to a night movie, and still be kind of mad at myself. It'll help me get a little bit back on track, though.
Yesterday, I was feeling a little sour that I couldn't play the new Mario Kart because shopping is too hard nowadays, so I picked up Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed on Steam. It booted upside down and the configuration menu crashed it, so I refunded it on Steam and then picked it up on XBox. It was fun, but I kind of had a headache and only played a few races.

I did try Hello Kitty & Sanrio Friends Racing on Steam, which was much worse, but seems like it'll be an ok sleepytime game once in a while. I really like Sanrio, so the cuteness balances the jank for me. Kerropi's eyes seemed unsettling, though, like they were the wrong shape. It was a weird thing to be forced to consider.

My mood was really sour before bed, so I bounced between games in my Steam library until I landed on Mega Man X Dive Offline, a port of an old mobile game. I only played this a little, but it seemed ok even through my general disdain towards the state of my guts at that point of the day. It'll be fun to try this again when I'm feeling better.

I want to get back to some RPG gamin' this week, but I maybe won't accomplish that tonight. I'll see what happens!
