What Video Game Did I Play Yesterday?
Prison Noctis/Merge Prison (Android)

I feel like last week, I did an extremely bad job of accomplishing things, as I did the week before. I want to try to turn that around next week, but don't have the world's highest hopes that I'll be able to. Still, I'll give it a shot! I have a somewhat big, at least conceptually, cross stitch project I want to try, and plan to get back to studying Japanese well, too. If I don't pull it off, though, that's okay, too!
As far as games go, I continued my inexplicable dedication to Wixoss Multiverse yesterday, plodding through piles of "give us money!" menus to make my anime girls rush murder towers and fight dinosaur riders.
It wasn't a major games day, so other than that, I did some extremely bad play in Pokemon Puzzle League while I was sleepy.
I cleared some item merging missions in Prison Noctis, too, but felt somewhat frustrated that my little merge board was getting cluttered. I think the game wants me to buy storage so I can tidy it up, but I don't intend to do that.

Yesterday wasn't a big video games day for me. I played a 12 minute exercise in Fitness Boxing feat. Hatsune Miku before work, which wasn't bad.
After work, I did have Wixoss Multiverse running for quite a while. I got a decent amount of level ups and made general progress, which was okay. It was a good thing to have on in the background.
I played Prison Noctis for a bit today, too, getting the truly bizarre pay-to-win screen I've included below. The slightly off translation and AI-seeming hands in this art really make it something special. I think my girl accessed the new merging screen that triggers this screen by finding a massive heroin stash, though, so maybe it's appropriate somehow.

Today, I'm really fighting to be productive! It's not working the best, but I am certainly making an effort!
Yesterday, I was not at my most productive, but I did clear the story mode in Fitness Boxing: Fist of the North Star on "light" mode. I'd feel accomplished, but I have two more difficulty levels to tackle from here. When I clear the top level, then I'll be excited.
From there, I was back on mobile games, and, yet again, really zoomed in on Wixoss Multiverse. It looks like three in-game events kicked off yesterday, and I want to see if I can make any headway in them. My progress on the daily tasks they tossed out was good last night, so it might end up going ok.
I spent a lot of time on Merge Prison, too, though I frittered away more time on the merge screen than in the story parts. It made for some nice, low-pressure mobile gaming zone-out time.

I'm still feeling draggy, but am also still plugging away at everything. I started yesterday with a round of Walk It Out!, to see how much of a hassle it would be to use the Wii balance board for before work fitness gaming. It wasn't a problem at all, so I'll probably get another Wii game in my rotation for next week.
Past that, I didn't have a ton of energy for games after work. I did, shockingly, get the special character for the event I'd been grinding out in Magical Circle Guru-Guru. It was a pleasant surprise, and I'll probably take her out for some meaningless slaughter with the rest of my party soon.
I played some more of the story in Prison Noctis, too, and found a drug addict's dead body and some food for a cute lil kitty in the same room. This tonal whiplash did nothing to dissuade me from playing mobile games.

It's finally Friday, and even though it's been a short work week, I'm looking forward to having it over and done with tonight!
Yesterday, Fitness Boxing feat. Hatsune Miku came out in the US, so I was really excited to try it. There's a "Miku Exercise" mode that does a lot to bridge the gap between this as a fitness game series and a proper music game that seems very fun so far! Mostly, though, having more music and trainer options makes it easier to stick with these games and get exercise. It's a bit of a boring conclusion, maybe, but I'm happy for it.
Over in mobile game fluff land, I turned on Magical Circle Guru-Guru: Stardust Adventure last night to see that it's having a proper event. I only scratched the surface of the tasks for it last night, but I'm going to try to tackle it over the next week. It's going to involve copious amounts of level grinding.
I also left King of Prism Sparkling running for a lot of the day, speaking of level grinding. It's taking longer than expected to burn through the resources I've gathered, which is fine by me.
I messed around with Prison Noctis for a decent amount of time, too, meandering through a tile match puzzle before deciding that I'll have an easier time of it if I go grind for gems in the merge mode for a couple of days. This, too, feels like a boring conclusion.

I crashed super hard last night, so I only played mobile games. I continued my quest for ultimate power in King of Prism Sparkling, but past that, was too drowsy to accurately describe what I did during this play session today.
I also ran through a couple batches of free energy in Prison Noctis, trying to get tickets for a Mastermind style fruit sorting game. I didn't get enough to make any headway, and that is fine.

I only played mobile games yesterday, so this won't be a very good post. Prison Noctis is having a couple of events, so I kept popping back in as my energy refilled to clear merge screens and collect virtual trinkets. It was pointless, and it is narratively disconcerting that my protagonist will put a halt to her attempts to escape wrongful imprisonment for toy stock car races, but we all deal with stress in different ways.
I played way too much of WIXOSS Multiverse, too, mostly because my computer was on, giving me easy access, and because I didn't want to do anything more productive. I got a party member I really liked, a maid aggressively tending to plants, but since she's the lowest rarity, she's probably not very strong. Regardless, I intend to shoehorn her into my party as long as possible.

Despite my reader-facing pep on here, I wasn't feeling good yesterday. I picked up another G123 clicker game, WIXOSS Multiverse, and got really zoomed in on it. It does seem suspiciously similar to their other clickers, but the menu design is decently intuitive here.
I kept playing Prison Noctis, too, and am still pretty amused by it. So many employees of this prison seem to be in dire need of sponges and brushes from me, a prisoner that is clearly misbehaving, that I'm starting to think of it as a story of institutional collapse.
As for more standard gaming, I did another run in Balatro. It was pretty unremarkable, and I lost at ante 5, not even to a boss blind.

Today my company gave all of its local employees lunch at a high-end brewery, so I ate some junk food and slammed back a non-alcoholic IPA on their patio before wandering away to come home and play with my website. I'm set up for September now, and also got a new layout and index going for G123, the money grubbing browser game developer I'm currently fixated on It's nice to get stuff done!
All my gaming yesterday was those aforementioned browser games, though. I tried one called Prison Noctis, or Merge Prison, according to the title screen. It is notably different from the two G123 anime clickers I've been playing in that it uses the trappings of an escape room to guide players through basic item merge screens and some mahjong solitaire-esque tile matching screens. There's cats, too. Energy runs out fast in it, and it tosses up the "buy this item!" screens just as often as the anime games I've tried, but it's a little more interesting than I'd expected it would be.
I did keep up with the anime clickers, too. In King of Prism: Sparkling, I rushed my dailies before work, to make up for the previous night's internet loss, and then before bed, too. Mostly, though, I'm stocking currency and EXP for another in-game grinding session right now.
I remained confused by Magical Circle Guru-Guru: Stardust Adventure, too, getting caught in a loop of auto-battling I couldn't escape. I feel like this game is saddled with some unintuitive menu designs, but am sure I'll find my way around if I keep playing.
