What Video Game Did I Play Yesterday?

Super Kirby Clash (Switch)

I did a run-through of arcade Double Dragon last night, which was pleasant and breezy. I'm not saying this is a really excellent game that holds up well, but I find it kind of soothing to play every few years. It feels clunky, and the enemies towards the end are tedious damage sponges, but I like it anyway. The Super Pocket is a decent place to play it, too, weird screenshot aside.

I played through my energy in Super Kirby Clash, too, and had a nice time doing that. I was in a mindless 2D violence sort of mood last night, I guess.

I am doing a rare "during break from work" post today, made possible by the fact that I got super tired last night and just played a bit more of Super Kirby Clash. It wasn't exciting, but that was the appeal. Kirby was exceptionally cute, though.

Last night was very low key for gaming again. I tried Super Kirby Clash on Switch last night, since all of the footage of Kirby Air Riders online has reminded me that Kirby is a round and lovely friend. It was just okay, but I can see playing it quite a bit more. It kind of sucks that it keeps telling me to buy "gem apples," and the combat isn't great for a combat-based game. I love levelling up, though, and this game has a lot of levelling up.
