What Video Game Did I Play Yesterday?
Clutter 1000 (Switch)

Today, I haven't really done anything aside from dinner with family at Chili's and watching a lovingly restored blu-ray of Gamera the Giant Monster. I guess french fries and kaiju are exhausting, though, because I am dead tired.
Yesterday, though, I had some unexpected fun with Bibi Blocksberg- Big Broom Race 3, a racing game I'd picked up because it was 2 dollars. I don't know the cartoon/German audio drama this is based on at all, but the game itself was a playable, if not basic, little budget racer. It only took me a little over two hours to scrape through everything I could do here, which was a legitimate disappointment. I like that this game's vision of girly-girl witch friendship allows for throwing bombs at each other in a prehistoric volcano while having shampoo-commercial-ready candy-colored hair. I'm glad it didn't overstay its welcome, though, since I was kind of just there for the vibes.

Before bed, I played a bit of Clutter 1000, too, feeling weirdly melancholy that I couldn't piece together what the game's creator was trying to say with all of these chaotic puzzles. Maybe I was just sleepy, though.

I have internet again tonight! It feels so fancy! It means I can finally share my crummy photo I took at a Blackpink concert on Friday! As you can see, I had the most fabulous seats a pretty small amount of money can buy!

Whenever I go to a concert lately, I get fixated on how strange it is that you can listen to someone dozens upon dozens of times and then hand over some cash to go be in the same room with them. Seeing Blackpink so tiny on stage, looking like the tiny figurines next to a train set, was even more surreal than club or theater shows, but it was a lot of fun! I feel lucky that I've been able to zip around and see so many pop concerts this summer, and have had a great time at all of them. Maybe I complain a lot, but generally, I get to do a lot of fun things!
Game-wise, though, I didn't play much yesterday. I was tired from becoming untethered from practical concepts of how much money is appropriate to spend at a Daiso and then driving four hours, so I just played two or three levels of Clutter 1000 before bed.

I came home from my weekend out to an internet outage, but I got frozen yogurt and saw a neat moth, so it's fine.
Yesterday I did a ten minute long stretching session in Fitness Boxing: Fist of the North Star, and played a few levels of Clutter 1000 before bed.
Tonight, I don't know what I'll play, but I hope I'll be able to do a normal post tomorrow!

Last night, it took me a while to get all my daily stuff done, so I just played a few more stages of Clutter 1000 before bed.

I'm really zoomed in on manga and a horrifying book about Rosemary Kennedy right now, so I am not doing much in depth gaming the past few days. I also just finished petting a cat for two hours, which would be really top notch stuff were it not for my cat allergy. All of this is my own fault, but I love books and cats and, therefore, regret none of it.
Anyway, last night I tried an aesthetically chaotic object matching game on Switch called Clutter 1000. Casual games don't usually have such an overwhelming and vaguely baffling personality, so I was pretty instantly sold on this one. I'm not sure what is going on or why, but it is calming and confusing at the same time. I'm looking forward to matching more things before bed tonight.
